Very excited about this wine. Earthy, herbal and fresh Cab Franc. Spontaneous fermentation, aged in neutral wood, low SO2, bottled unfined/unfiltered. From atop the Western mesa in the Los Olivos District, with constant ocean breezes, a unique Pyrenees clone in shaley, sandy soils. Loire-esque aromatically, without aggressive pyrazines (greenness).
Rows oriented east to west and minimal leaf pulling on the south facing side help keep the sun off the grapes, which maintains freshness and earthy aromatics. 12.5% ABV.
